I am excited about this year’s group of students! In our first week we created a social contract that reflects the environment in which we learn and relate to one another. This usually requires a lot of prodding on my part, but not with this group…They knew exactly how they wanted be treated and treat others. So far they are living by the words they’ve chosen. They are also being very patient while learning many new routines and expectations. Be proud of your kids!
I also want to thank all of the families who made sure that their child came to the open house. It really does make an enormous difference in their comfort level that first day of school. I think this is the first year I’ve had a 100% turn out of students.
I’m sure you are swamped with paperwork and after-school activities right now, but feel free to call if there are any questions or concerns. We’re in this together!
